Blended Learning is a form of education program in which a student learns at least in part through delivery of content and instruction via digital and online media with some element of student control over time, place, path, or pace.
American Red Cross (ARC) blended learning lifeguard certification combines the flexibility of online learning with hands-on training. An additional $35 license fee will be charged through the ARC website to gain access to the online material. Upon payment, this course will be immediately accessible via the ARC website and it provides a full Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED and Waterfront Skills Lifeguarding certification from the American Red Cross upon completion.
Marine First Responders (MFR) is a licensed service provider for the American Red Cross (ARC). Blended learning material is available via the ARC learning center. Students who sign up for this course will gain access to the blended learning format. Upon completion of the online course material, the student will continue the remainder of the course in the field with hands-on training and lifeguard skills checks.
Not Recommended for beginners who have had no prior lifeguarding experience. Although, the full lifeguarding manual is provided for this course, beginners may not get the full benefit of the “in-class” education required to gain the knowledge of a professional lifeguard.
